Built by furniture magnate Amos Rhodes in 1904, Rhodes Hall is an Atlanta landmark. The historic house and museum was the perfect site for haunted house fun from 1984 to 1992. The Georgia Trust is keeping that Halloween spirit alive with the Uptown Rhodes Race at the Haunted Castle!
On Saturday, October 28 at 9 a.m., runners and walkers can join in this stroller and dog friendly 5K that will take them through Ansley Park, one of Atlanta’s oldest neighborhoods. Costumes are welcome!
After the race, hang out at Rhodes Hall to join in the costume contest and grab some barbecue and other treats. If you take a tour inside the castle, you might even get a glimpse of their resident ghost!
Well-behaved dogs on leashed are welcome and there will be special “pit stops” with water for your pup along the way. Dogs with their runners will have their own start group.
Registration fees are as follows and include a t-shirt and goodie bag:
$35 – April 1 until October 8
$40 – October 9 until raceday
The great folks at The Georgia Trust have given me two race registrations to give away to one of my readers!
Giveaway will run from August 15, 2017 to August 25, 2017. Open to U.S. residents only. Good luck!
